What information do we collect about you, for what purposes and on what legal basis?
When you visit autobutler.co.uk, we automatically collect information about you and your use of the autobutler.co.uk website. This is e.g. information about the type of browser you use and information about your computer, your IP address, and information about how you use the website, which pages you visit, and which links you click on, your traffic to and from the Service, referral URL address, advertising data, standard weblog information and information collected via cookies, web beacons and similar technologies, etc. The purpose is to optimize the user experience and the function of autobutler.co.uk as well as carry out targeted marketing. This processing of information is necessary so that we can protect our interests in improving autobutler.co.uk and show you relevant offers.
The legal basis for the processing is the Data Protection Regulation, art. 6, subsection 1, letter f (for functionality cookies) and letter a (for other cookies, statistics and marketing). You can read more about our use of cookies in our cookie policy https://www.autobutler.co.uk/pages/cookies.
When you receive service emails
Autobutler uses an external service for sending service e-mails. The service records the e-mail's sending, receiving, opening rate, click-rate, click-to-open rate, conversion rate, spam marking rate, wrong delivery and any reason for a misdelivery as well as which device and operating system the email is opened from. The purpose is to ensure that users receive relevant information about their task at Autobutler. The legal basis for the processing is the data protection regulation art. 6 pieces. 1 letter f, including Autobutler's legitimate interest in ensuring that users receive relevant information about their task at Autobutler. Autobutler deletes the underlying data after 6 months.
When you register for electronic or telephone marketing, we process information about your name (first and last name), telephone number and e-mail address, and we register that you have agreed to receive marketing from us and our business partners. The purpose is to be able to deliver marketing to you.
The legal basis for the processing in electronic marketing is the consent you have given in accordance with Article 6, subsection of the Data Protection Regulation. 1, letter a, and the legal basis for processing by telephonic marketing is the Data Protection Regulation, art. 6, subsection 1, letter f, as we pursue our legitimate interest in conducting telephone marketing within the framework of marketing legislation.
You can withdraw your consent to marketing or object to our processing for this purpose at any time. If you withdraw your consent or object, we will remove you from our "subscribe list" to avoid delivering marketing to you in the future.
When you create a profile on the Service, we ask you to provide a range of basic information, including your name, e-mail, and telephone number. You can choose to associate additional information to your profile about your vehicle, including information about the model, make, usage data and registration number. We must use this information to be able to give you access to the Service and to offer you the benefits and services that are linked to the Service, including to be able to communicate with workshops that will offer car repair etc. to you in accordance with your wish. The legal basis for the processing is the Data Protection Regulation, art. 6, subsection 1, letter b.
Via the Service, you can upload your own material in the form of documents, e.g. inspection reports, invoices, pictures, etc. You yourself are responsible for what material you upload and choose to share with others, including that you do not upload material other than what is relevant to use of the Service.
When you request a quote for a repair of your vehicle, information about your car's registration number and the task you want a quote for is made available to the associated workshops so that they can assess the task and possibly submit an offer. Your contact information will only be passed on to the workshop whose offer you accept. The workshop will then be able to contact you via your provided e-mail and telephone number. The legal basis for the processing is the Data Protection Regulation, art. 6, subsection 1, letter b.
When you write a review for a workshop, we share the review with the workshop. The workshop can see a time indication for the specified rating, your full rating and any comments, information about your car model, make and year, the first name you have entered on your user profile, the first letter of the last name you have entered on your user profile and the unique reference number associated with your assignment.
We publish your assessment and any comments on autobutler.co.uk, in e-mails, on external pages such as the workshops' own pages and online search engines with information about your car model, make and year, the first name you have entered on your user profile, first letter in the surname you have specified on your user profile, as well as a time indication for the specified assessment.
The legal basis for the processing is the Data Protection Regulation, art. 6, subsection 1, letter f, including our legitimate interests in managing and publishing reviews of the workshops with which we collaborate.
When you communicate with us, including via e-mail, SMS, chat or telephone, we collect the information that you choose to give us and the advice or assistance that you want. The purpose is to communicate with you and comply with your requests. The legal basis for the processing is the data protection regulation, art. 6, subsection 1, letter f, including our legitimate interests in contacting you and/or answering your inquiry. When you communicate with us by telephone, telephone conversations may be recorded and stored if you have previously given your consent. The purpose is to document the content of the conversation and agreements made during the telephone conversation. The legal basis for the processing is your consent, cf. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Article 6, Point A.
When you use the Service on behalf of a workshop, we process information about your name, e-mail, telephone number and information about the workshop you represent. The legal basis for the processing is the Data Protection Regulation, art. 6, subsection 1, letter f, including our legitimate interests in managing our collaboration.
In the event of suspicion or violation of our Terms of Use of the Service, we process information about your current and historical use of the Service as well as the reason for our suspicion and the final reason why we may have chosen to exclude you or the workshop which you represent, from the Service. The legal basis for the processing is the Data Protection Regulation, art. 6, subsection 1, letter f, including our legitimate interests in ensuring that the Service is used in accordance with our Terms.
If you do not provide personal information we ask for, we may be prevented from offering you the service or fulfilling your requests.
